Desired candidate profile for the position:

Qualification :

Essential

- BSc. /M.Sc. - Chemistry OR Diploma Engineering - Chemical/Industrial Hygiene & Safety / Paint Technology Or EHS Science or EHS Engineering

- Diploma in Industrial Safety from Central Labour Institute / Regional Labour Institute / Industrial Safety Post Graduate Diploma from State Technical Board recognised institution recognised by Respective State Factories Rules /AICTE

- Knowledge of Product Stewardship basic requirements on product registration & CLP and National &International Legislation such as EU REACH, Korea REACH, and Transport of Dangerous Goods such as IMDG, IATA & Motor Vehicle Rules etc

Desired

- Diploma in Fire Safety from AICTE recognised Institute/University

- Experience in EHSMS Implementation

- EHS Auditor trained on Safety Management System based on British Safety Council Five Star Rating Standards OR DUPONT Safety Management System OR Responsible Care Codes Implementation OR IFC - International Finance Corporation EHS Guidelines / ISO 45001& ISO 14001

Experience (Yr.):

Essential

- >3 years in Product Stewardship/ Paint Product Development/ Quality Assurance/ EHS in manufacturing industry/ Technology Labpreferable in chemical/petrochemical industry/ Consumer products.

- Worked on EHSMS implementation, monitoring EHS aspects in operation and maintenance of plant

- Good Understanding of Product Stewardship Requirementsfor Classification, Labelling & Packaging and Registration of Products - Applicable Legislations National & International and their compliance

- Good experience working on IT/ERP system such as SAP, Oracle

- Implementation of Safety Management System based on British Safety Council Five Star Rating Standards OR DUPONT Safety Management System OR Responsible Care Codes Implementation OR IFC - International Finance Corporation EHS Guidelines ORISO 45001 & ISO 14001.

Key Deliverable of this role:

1) Ensure EHSMS & LCR are effectively implemented and Sustain Zero PPG I&I, PPG Reportable Spill and Zero PPG Reportable Fire / Explosion incident

a) Achieve 100% of work plan towards 2018 PPG Focus program

b) Ensure 100% adherence to EHS Workplan & Training plan

c) Report all the Incidents, Spills and Near misses in EMEX, do proper investigation and close all the corrective actions timely.

d) Achieve self-evaluation score of 100% for all EHSMS elements and LCR topics.

e) Close all the EHSMS evaluation findings as per plan."

2) Improve Sustainability footprints of Pawane Tech Lab

a) Reduce waste intensity by 5% every year over 2015

b) Reduce Energy intensity by 1.5% every year over 2015.

c) Implement the wellness program by plan and execute one wellness activity per month

3) Ensure engagement of employees to strengthen safe work practices

a) Improve the safety culture through efforts of Daily TBT, Safety 365, Safety Alerts, Near Miss Report and Incident reporting.

b) Implement the monthly Fire Prevention, Accountability Matrix and MIP

4) Implement PSIT 1 to 8

a) Verify and adhere 100% CHAMP Coding for all RM's.

b) Continue Upload all PPG formulas in GPS through process control on modification or new formulas preparation

c) Ensure Adherence of GHSHIS Labelling for all RM and Intermediates at all Plants and Pawane Lab

d) Implement Product Labelling from GPS for all products in phased manner in alignment with respective plants, Toller and Business/Supply Chain

e) Ensure all exports meet destination country requirements for SDS and labels using PPG PS tools

f) Ensure all Customer queries are met for PS such as Certifying for meeting Restricted Substances as per PPG requirements and Global PS requirements

g) Work with Technology team to eliminate PPG restricted material - Lead & Chrome as per technology plan

h) Work with Technology and Plants to develop Green Strategy

i) Organize PS related Workshop and training in collaboration with Corporate Global and Asia Pacific PS team

j) Lead chemical control compliance programs, product registrations and import and export compliance.

k) Support raw material introduction programs, corporate practices including Corporate Global Product Stewardship (GPS) and central Raw Material Management programs, regulatory review of new raw materials, new formulations and third party materials used in India. This review includes notification, registration assessment, vendor information evaluations, chemical inventory information, upcoming regulatory requirements, data gathering for data call-ins and harmonization of raw material assessment with corporate processes.

l)Point of internal contact for customer inquiries regarding product regulatory compliance, use, disposal and other product stewardship concerns, responsible for monitoring latest emerging issues, GHS developments and other compliances.

m) Work within the SBU Global Product Stewardship function, and integrate into SBU Sales, Marketing and Technical groups. The incumbent is linked to Product Stewardship Asia Pacific Manager to develop and execute successful strategies and efficient programs for chemical notification and product registration in India

5) Implement PSIT 3 & 8 across Business and Supply Chain

a) Implement PSIT 3 & 8 in India focusing on logistics, warehouse and tolling.

b) Complete EHS, PS& TDG Audit for key Toller once per quarter, Quarterly review by PS & SCM team on Audit gaps actions - Target 80% gaps closure by Dec 2018

c) Develop and implement Ware house standards for storage of RM and FG in Warehouses.

6) Responsible toimplement PPG EHS Management system.

a) Ensure implementation of EHS Management system to be certified as per EMS ISO 14001 and OHSMS ISO 45001

b) Coordinate and conduct detailed safety studies of all jobs/activities in the plant.

c) Coordinate Safety committee meetings and Site EHS Leadership meeting.

d) Check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to is taken to prevent Accident/incident

e) Incorporate work permits / LOTO, wherever required, and monitor compliance against the same.

f) Carry out plant safety inspections in order to observe the physical conditions of work and the work practices and procedures followed by the workers and to implement measures for removing unsafe physical conditions and preventing unsafe actions by workers

g) Prepare safety audit, safety inspection and safety training calendar schedule. Develop Training Modules and conduct Safety trainings and educational programs for prevention of personal injuries and accidents.

h) Ensure MSDS availability of all chemical used in the plant and to disseminate information to all employees.

i) Update all EHS documents as per statutory requirements, or otherwise

j) Responsible for ETP, water treatment plant, solvent recovery plants operation and maintenance

k) Responsible for site Sustainability Environmental footprint monitoring and leading improvement actions for reducing the footprints of Energy, GHG emission, stack emission, water consumption, waste water reuse and recycle, improving % waste recycle and reuse

- Must have- functional competencies :

- Product Stewardship Legislation requirements and implementation

- Should have through understanding of Hazards/safety norms in a chemical plant/ Technology Lab

- Willing to travel ~25%of time to Sites, Tollers and Warehouses including Global / Regional Corporate Office and Business meeting
