Product Specialist - Fixed Income

Key Responsibilities

- Produce market reviews and investment outlook pieces on fixed income

- Generate written analysis of Fixed income funds - portfolio performance, strategy, trading activity - for monthly, quarterly or semi annual/annual reports

- Develop Fund presentations

- Ensure all standard content on fixed income products (RFP/RFI database, sales presentations) is produced on time and to appropriate quality

- Address ad hoc queries on funds and markets

- Participate in key franchise team meetings

- Extract data on Fixed income funds and provide database/charts support to the fixed income London team.

- Also present data in understandable format for sales and marketing teams

- Produce insightful commentaries and/or competitor analysis that can assist in retention and growth of assets

Experience and Qualifications Required

- Master's in Business Administration or equivalent desirable (preferable graduation in Economics, Commerce, Finance or Business Management) CFA qualification would be advantageous

- 3-6 years experience in fixed income research covering Asian markets including China, Korea, Taiwan, Indonesia etc

- In depth knowledge of Fixed Income markets functioning and links between various macroeconomic indicators and their impact on fixed income instruments i.e. Government bonds, corporate bonds, high yield bonds and index linked bonds

- Strong writing skills and ability to deliver quality material to specifications and to deadline

- Proven analytical skills and competent at analysing Fund-related data

- Familiarity with databases like DataStream, Bloomberg

- Familiarity with working on excel and knowledge of developing excel macros will be advantageous

- Focussed on providing high level of customer service. Ability to think from a customer viewpoint and to understand the complexities of fixed income mutual fund portfolios

- Strong communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders based in global locations

- Proactive, willing to use initiative in keep abreast of developments in global economies and fixed income markets

- Strong team player, enthusiastic, dedicated and self-motivated

- Excellent problem solving skills
