Product Manger - Payments
Position Overview: As a Product Manager for the Cross Border Remittances Platform, you will be the driving force behind the technical aspects of our platform's development. Your role will involve translating business objectives into actionable technical requirements, collaborating closely with engineering teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet user needs and market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy: Define and communicate a clear technical vision and strategy for the cross-border remittances platform. Collaborate with stakeholders to align the technical roadmap with business objectives.
- Requirements Gathering: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business stakeholders, designers, compliance experts, and engineers, to gather and prioritize technical requirements. Ensure that product specifications are actionable and well-defined.
- Technical Roadmap: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical roadmap that outlines the implementation of features, improvements, and technical optimizations to enhance the platform's performance and functionality.
- Agile Development: Collaborate with engineering teams using agile methodologies. Provide clear and detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and other necessary technical documentation to guide the development process.
- Feature Development: Drive the development of new platform features and enhancements. Work closely with designers and engineers to ensure that user needs are met while maintaining a strong technical foundation.
- Quality Assurance: Define testing requirements and work with quality assurance teams to ensure that features and updates are thoroughly tested and meet high-quality standards before release.
- Risk Management: Anticipate technical challenges and risks. Collaborate with engineering teams to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Metrics and Analysis: Define and monitor technical KPIs to measure the performance and effectiveness of the platform. Use data analysis to make informed decisions and iterate on technical solutions.
- Communication: Clearly communicate technical plans, progress updates, and challenges to non-technical stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in product management, preferably within the fintech or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of cross-border payment systems, remittance processes, and associated technologies.
- Proven track record of driving technical product strategy, roadmap development, and successful product launches.
- Proficiency in agile development methodologies and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decisions.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver software products.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements related to cross-border financial services is a plus.
