Product Manager - Travel Products

Role : Product Manager ( Travel Industry)

Location : Gurgaon

Responsibility :

- Execution/operation responsibility for managing the product which is Air, Hotels, Vacations, Cars and buses

- Deep understanding of at least 2 products- end to end processes including execution. For example- air ticket booking, ticket cancellation and re-issuance, PNR import and payment reconciliation etc.

- Hands on experience on these products

- Managing entire operations of the firm and ensuring zero error environment

- Keeping an eye on the competition and develop innovative solutions to improve the revenue of the firm

- Should be customer obsessed and clear emphasize on customer service in the above mentioned products

- Deep understanding of processes and IT environment in all these product

- Managing a team of various professionals and stakeholders in the firm

- Emphasize on clear metrics, processes, tools, KRAs and governance mechanism for error free execution of the work

- Responsible for resolution of issues and exceptions management related to all these products

- Collaboration with multiple stakeholders outside and within the firm.

- Providing training and knowledge to the team in the firm

- Responsible for conceptualization and implementation of product solutions and converting concepts into completion

- Emphasize on digital, social media and eCommerce areas

- Understanding of market leading tools in the travel industry

- Understanding of travel business is mandatory

- Experience- 8+ years

- Go getter, fire in the belly and like working in an unstructured start up environment

Skills/experience required :

- Excellent in-depth knowledge of market leading Products in travel industry

- IATA and other pertinent certifications

- Past background of managing travel product environment in a reputed firm

- Good analytical and thinking ability

- Outstanding communication skills- verbal and written

- Must have handled ambiguity in the previous firm/engagements

- Must have handled a large team

- Good understanding of processes and IT solutions in these products

- Should have a point of view on competition and market

Educational qualification : Graduation/Post Graduation degree in Travel.

Experience required : 8+ years
