Position: Product Manager

Exp: 2-8 yrs

Location: Bangalore, India

Travel requirements: ~30% of the time - primarily domestic travel

Summary:

Role and responsibilities:

- Owning the product roadmap of one of the product lines from India side - this includes managing product's life cycle, analysing customer feedback, gauging product feature competitiveness and proposing product enhancements based on sound logic.

- Constantly gathering and reporting product feedback from various internal & external touch points like consumers, channel partners, call centre, service centres etc.

- Tracking competition (by features, price, channel etc.) in the relevant segments & analysing their products on specifications as well as actual performance

- Co-working with sales & marketing teams pre and post launch to ensure that the product is a success

- Conduct market research periodically to enhance consumer behaviour/preference understanding

- Taking ownership of the product NPS score, working closely with the quality and engineering teams to ensure swift resolution of product related issues to ensure that the NPS score high

- Assist in training the market facing teams on various product related aspects like key selling points, important technologies used etc.

Requirement:

- At least 3 - 4 years of product management experience in smartphone or a related consumer durable industry

- Education: - M.B.A. (preferably from a tier 1 business school)

- Strong analytical skills along with at least a basic level of technical knowledge about smartphones/electronics

- Highly self-driven - Ability to set break down a macro objective into smaller micro objectives and figure out ways to achieve them by oneself.

- Experience of launching successful products and managing their lifecycle from stat to finish

- Strong communication and collaboration skills to aid working cross functionally
