Job Description:
An excellent opportunity for a self-driven and passionate business analyst who has prior experience in inventory, allotments & revenue management business areas to work as Product Manager in Passenger Services System (PSS) business division of IBS Software Services (IBS).
Purpose:
- As a product manager, you will be working as a senior business analyst in the inventory, allotments & revenue management business areas for the PSS solution being built by IBS.
- You will be supporting the Senior Product Manager to achieve the functional completeness in inventory, allotments & revenue management business area in this product.
Key Responsibilities:
Functional:
Will be responsible for the following functional areas:
- Schedule management
- Schedule Re-accommodation
- Flight inventory management and displays
Enhanced inventory controls:
- O&D inventory controls
- Point of Sale controls
- Married Segment Controls
- Bid price
- OA schedule and inventory management
- Shopping/Availability displays
Key Responsibilities:
Non-Functional:
- Support research and development activities in your functional area
- Support creation of vision, roadmap and generation of product ideas
- Create functional specifications of the roadmap, which includes both the detailed requirements collection as well as the definition of the expected application behaviour, which includes specification of the appropriate test strategy for the test teams
- Conduct training sessions with product development team, account management team, product support team, training team and testing team to ensure that these teams understands the functional specifications for each release and support and guide them during the product development
- Responsible for managing the user documentation for the product
- Support sales and marketing team in preparing and holding product presentations for potential customers as well as support them in responding to RFIs/RFPs
- Responsible for activities related to conducting user group forums and other customer forums to develop customer relationships
- Attending IATA conferences / trainings in your relevant functional areas and conducting sessions for the product team
- Lead and guide a team of Junior Product Managers
- Closely work with the other product teams and align the product components, to meet the overall vision of the product
Educational Qualifications:
- Degree level or equivalent in a technical, business or marketing discipline
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
- Should have Information Technology (IT) background and worked in the Travel Technology Industry
- Requires more than 5 years of relevant experience in Travel Technology Domain, with at least 3 years focusing on inventory, allotments & revenue management area
- Understanding of the airline industry, market requirements, functional specifications and product development methodologies
- Understanding of PSS- domain in general
- Knowledge on UML is appreciated
- Understanding of the entire travel supply chain is desirable
- High level understanding of available related products in the industry is desirable
- Understanding of product management principles is desirable
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communications skills with spoken & written English as mandatory pre-requisite
- Ability to work with virtual teams
- Good interpersonal skills
