Product Manager - Consumer Experience
What We Want :
- You should care deeply about customers and their experience. For us that is always the starting point of what we do.
- You have prior experience working on consumer facing ecommerce products.
- Are able to distill your vision down to various teams, and get them pumped going for common goals.
- You like to get things done. You're a doer. We want PM's to think 'If it's broken, x it. If it can be improved, improve it.'
- Ability to identify and relate with business stakeholders, and think of their goals as your own.
- Are articulate, and can effectively communicate problems, ideas and solutions to everyone that you work with.
- You like data, you look into it deeply before making your decisions. You don't like speculative opinions!
- You like technology. You are comfortable with it. You know what an API endpoint is. You know a good schema from a bad one.
- You have an eye for human interactions and visual design. You can understand what makes users tick.
- You're an explorer. An enthusiast. You like to read. You like to know what's going on in your industry and the world around you.
What You Will Do - Be the voice of the customer to business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- While we aren't the largest e-commerce company in the world or India for that matter, we believe deeply in what we do. We feel like we matter, and what we do makes a difference.
- You will interact with A LOT of business stakeholders; who want A LOT of things. You will have to ruthlessly prioritize and build scalable solutions for them.
- You will use a lot of analytics tools. Firebase, Clevertap, Google Analytics, Hotjar, the works really. We also use Redshift and a lot of SQL stores. Make a case for everything that you want to do. - Work with amazing tech and design teams. They will look to you to give them clarity and purpose to what they do. Getting everyone camped and gunning for goals is a big time part of what you do.
What Skills Will Help :
- You are articulate. You can clearly and effectively communicate what goals to engineering and solutions to business.
- You know how the internet works. Being comfortable with technology will set you up for success.
- You can write strong product specs, and manage projects from inception to execution.
- Understanding of basic stats principles and tools like SQL, Excel always come in handy.
- You will be pulled in a lot of directions, it helps if you can keep focused and prioritize your work.
- Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics, Clevertap, Localytics would be awesome!
- You can plan a roadmap; and then actually keep focused enough to execute it.
- You can sell a new product/feature to stakeholders; and take it to market.
- Track record of shipping. If you've done this in the past, you already know what the role is all about!
