Role Description:
- This is a full-time Product Manager role for Mutual Funds at a leading small finance.
- The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and marketing of mutual fund products.
- This is an on-site role located in Mumbai, where the Product Manager will collaborate with various teams to drive the success of mutual fund offerings.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Experience in Product Management and Mutual Funds.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of financial markets and regulations.
- Good communication and presentation skill.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compliance Management:.
- Ensure that all mutual fund products and related services comply with relevant regulations (e.g., SEBI, AMFI).
- Monitor and interpret changes in regulatory requirements and assess their impact on the bank's mutual fund products.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop, update, and enforce policies and procedures for mutual fund products.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop and execute the mutual fund product strategy in alignment with the bank's objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive products to drive innovation and differentiation in the mutual fund offerings.
- Collaborate with fund houses to select and launch new funds, ensuring they meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the product lifecycle from inception to discontinuation, ensuring a balanced product portfolio.
Risk Management:
- Identify and assess compliance risks associated with mutual fund products and work with relevant teams to mitigate these risks.
- Develop and maintain a risk management framework specific to mutual fund products, including regular risk assessments and reporting.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management, highlighting key compliance risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required regulatory reports.
Sales & Distribution:
- Work closely with the sales team to develop and implement sales strategies for mutual funds.
- Provide training and support to sales teams on product features, benefits, and market positioning.
- Develop marketing and promotional campaigns to drive product sales and customer engagement.
- Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to achieve sales targets.
Customer Experience:
- Enhance the customer experience by ensuring easy access to mutual fund products through digital and traditional channels.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback to continuously improve the product offerings.
- Develop and manage loyalty programs or incentives to increase customer retention and cross-sell opportunities.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with fund houses, distribution partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal teams such as marketing, legal, operations, and IT to ensure seamless.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of mutual funds, investment products, and financial markets.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret market trends and customer needs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Proficient in using financial analysis tools and CRM software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
