Product Manager - Global Healthcare
The Product Manager, Marketing is responsible for strategizing and executing comprehensive marketing plans, managing portfolios, conducting market research, launching new products, tracking business performance, and implementing multi-channel marketing initiatives for a leading Global Medical Device Company. This role operates within a dynamic environment, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive significant business impact. From planning to implementation, the Product Manager will be hands-on in their approach. This position reports directly to the Marketing Director for India.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and external agencies to develop integrated marketing plans encompassing both practice and professional marketing components.
- Provide high-quality product and professional education to local market and distributor sales teams, ensuring superior sales capabilities.
- Ensure availability of relevant sales support materials to maximize effectiveness of sales activities in respective markets.
- Manage advertising and promotional spending within budget constraints while optimizing return on investment.
- Cultivate and manage Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and advocates, oversee clinical events, and elevate brand visibility within the medical device community.
- Lead market intelligence efforts including analysis of market dynamics, customer insights, competitor information, and market share to inform strategic decisions.
- Plan and execute promotional activities, monitoring and reporting on their business impact.
- Ensure all marketing content and promotions receive necessary regulatory approvals and manage translation agencies effectively.
- Collaborate with and inspire a high-performance team to achieve collective goals.
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree required; a background in medical or healthcare fields is preferred, MBA is a plus.
- More than 7-10 years of progressive experience in product management and/or strategic marketing within the healthcare industry, ideally in medical devices.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior and marketing in digital platforms (e.g., social media, e-commerce, analytics).
- Proficiency in tools such as Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in global organizations, navigating regional dynamics, and thriving in fast-paced business environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in matrixed environments and across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating strategic agency partnerships to enhance brand health and drive business growth.
- Sound financial acumen and ability to make data-driven business decisions.
- Track record in project management, preferably at a regional level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English is essential.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
