Job Description
We are seeking to add a Product Manager in the Lighting vertical to our team in Bengaluru, India or Santa Clara, United States. In this role, you will be the product owner for all the products in the Lighting Business Unit from cradle to grave. You will be responsible for enabling our customer's systems with our technology and articulating the value we bring to their systems with our products. You will be responsible for creating, executing, and maintaining the new product plan and developing. The Product Manager will also drive lead customer engagement and first revenue for the new products in the BU whilst developing and executing Go-To-Market (GTM) plans. The Product Manager will also be responsible for planning, creating, and maintaining product collateral needed for customer engagement.
As a Product Manager, you will also be responsible for creating the Market Requirement Document for upcoming and future products for the Business Unit to ensure a holistic product portfolio for the Business Unit.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements, and translate to NexGen solutions internally
- Collaborate with Strategic and Technical Marketing to define product requirements and roadmap
- Drive lead customer engagement to secure design wins for our products in the customer's systems
- Drive value proposition, product positioning, pricing, and product roadmap for the Lighting Vertical
- Develop marketing plans including competitive strategy, pricing strategy, sales and product forecasts for the Lighting vertical
- Collaborate closely with design, applications, and product engineering teams internally to ensure timely development of products which meet market requirements
- Drive and conduct regular sales and FAE training
- Create and use competitive analytics to shape product roadmap
- Create awareness of GaN technology and its value to various power applications
- Identify and represent NexGen at relevant tradeshows, industry bodies to increase NexGen's visibility with potential customers and industry leaders
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of end market Lighting
- Background in Power Systems preferred
- 10+ years of Product Management experience
- Ability to make pragmatic marketing decisions in a dynamic, fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, selling, and negotiation skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with customers
- Superior computer skills combined with the ability to effectively communicate verbally, visually, and in writing are essential to success
- Strategic mindset, business understanding
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and evenings
- Strong team building and coaching skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Significant travel required
- Start-up mentality: fast-paced, flexible, and team-oriented
- Experience managing multiple third parties
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, And Experience
- 10+ years marketing experience in Power Electronics or semiconductors
- Experienced working with leaders in Lighting Industry
- MBA or Masters in a related field is preferred
- BE or MS in Electrical Engineering or advanced engineering degree is a must
