Key objectives for this role include:
1. Start with the customer and work backwards to define your product vision and customer needs.
2. Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
3. Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
4. Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
5. Produce product and feature specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
6. Be the end-to-end owner of the product - manage the business case, identify the value proposition, define the customer experience, build out the product requirements, launch plan and see the business through launch and customer adoption
7. Preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and operations
8. Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing development, hosting and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
9. Draft strategy and product updates for the senior leadership team
Must Have Skills:
- B.Tech in Computer Science or an engineering field and an MBA.
- 5-8 years product management experience, preferably in delivering customer-facing products/service
- Experience managing product, project, or program teams will be considered a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of experience translating customer needs into product features, user interface design, and pricing models
- Market and customer analysis skills with demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new areas quickly
- Demonstrated ability to define requirements, specifications, and metrics for successful web services and/or customer experiences efficiently and with quality.
- Minimum of 4 years of software development/business operations/technology or product management experience.
- High level understanding of Web and Mobile technologies
