Product Manager
Key Responsibilities :
Brand Strategy and Management Media
1. Track brand performance
2. Track market for competitor activity. Review research data and align to brand needs
3. Participate in creation of brand market strategy
4. Plan and conduct market visits to get an on the ground feel of the brands in terms of visibility, channels etc.
5. Design and execute the ground level activities through effective coordination & briefing of event organizers
6. Design/launch brand media campaigns with support from media manager and creative agencies-includes briefing concerned parties, managing creative inputs, achieving right media mix and coordinating media campaign launches
7. Handling Digital and Social media would be a critical element
Sales Market Share and Profitability management :
1. Achieve sales, market share and Profit target for the brand
2. Work with sales to analyze sales and profitability data; identify opportunities - evaluate alternate channels; promotions; incentives etc. to enhance sales and market share; provide inputs for pricing and improving margins
Media Management :
Work with Manager Media Planning to develop the appropriate media mix for the brand/s
1. Develop and recommend budget for each brand-plan media spends in conjunction with media planning team
2. Plan innovative ways of leveraging media to enhance cost/customer research value
Market Research :
1. Provide inputs for defining market research strategy, scope & initiatives for the assigned brand
2. Follow up on research outcomes, use interpretations and recommendations to align with marketing strategy
3. Participate in qualitative research initiatives
New Product Development & launch :
1. Constantly review national and international market for flavors and variations within own brand portfolio. Supplement data from market research as an additional input
2. Share ideas and suggestions with marketing team
3. Coordinate with R&D team to track NPD. Once approved, track the process of NPD through effective coordination with sales, technical, SCM departments and determine a launch date
4. Undertake all launch related marketing activities
5. Coordinate with for packaging design. Liaison with legal department for packaging related compliances and smooth transfer specifications to SCM
MIS & Reporting :
1. Collate and analyze MIS /Reporting for own brand/s
Experience :
1. Minimum 2 years of experience in Sales, Market Research or Brand Strategy
2. FMCG experience is preferable
