Product Manager - FinTech/eCommerce Startup - IIT/IIM/ISB/BITS

Our Client is a fast-paced technology start-up, operating in Fin-tech and e-commerce space. With the aim to revolutionise offline-to-online(O2O) space, aiming to enable digital transformation of Offline businesses using smart innovations. This is a huge market, serving the 1.3 billion strong Indian population.

The start-up is led by a strong and experienced team. It has already raised seed funding of ~US$ 8 Million from renowned investors.

Role: Product Manager

We are looking for a Product Manager to direct product development and ensure high return on investment (ROI.) You will translate ideas into strategy and features and follow product development from start to finish.

To succeed in this role, you should be a perceptive and creative leader and a reliable problem-solver. If you- re also confident and have a knack for knowing what ideas will and won- t work, we- d like to meet you.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic planning and management of the product portfolio

- Responsible for managing end to product development lifecycle that involves gathering/analysing business/user requirements, conceptualising useful features, working with designers on UI/UX, aligning with QA for testing, and managing releases across all platforms - web, mobile and apps.

- Work with business leaders across the organisation of define business requirements and create product plans and roadmaps;

- Develop and implement product strategies consistent with company vision

- Identify pain points and priorities that can be addressed through technology and drive the product development

- Lead new feature and solutions development from start to finish;

- Measuring core success metrics to iterate and improve future phases continually;

- Incorporating feedback and input from customers, partners and in-house teams on product strategy and finding ways to expand product market reach.

- Structures and leads strategic conversations/meetings with cross-functional stakeholders

- Produce and review product requirements documents (PRD)

- Ensure products and releases are launched correctly and on schedule

- Make creative recommendations to expand product base and vision

- Suggest ways to track product use and impact on end users

Requirements:

- At least 5+ years of product management experience in delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet products with stellar design taste and product instincts and have work experience on the Internet/Ecomm / Financial / Payments industry is preferred

- Strong analytical skills: ability to break down problems into logical steps;

- A strong data-driven approach in decision making (via KPIs and metrics);

- Extensive experience in executing go-to-market strategies and launching new products;

- Solid technical background, experienced with working on systems that process imperfect data

- Eye for UI/UX design, understand the methodology behind creating user workflows;

- Strong communication skills - can convey technical concepts to non-technical people as well as turn non-technical requirements into technical specifications.

- Ability to design and navigate through conflicting priorities, turning ambiguity into clarity in a fast-changing environment;

- Organisational and leadership abilities

- Self-confident and self-starter proactive in setting and meeting goals.

- Great people skills paired with a high level of assertiveness

- Ability to work in fast paced multitasking environment

Education Background : Good pedigree in B.Tech in Computer Science, Engineering or related field from a Tier college (IIT/ IIM/ISB/BITS)
