Product Manager - Debit Cards


Consumer Banking Group

Job Purpose

- To drive product penetration and activation across various customer segments such as Mass Market, Emerging Affluent, Affluent, HNW

- Develop new product proposition to drive customer engagement

- Adherence to RBI regulation and payment provider guidelines

- Managing internal and external stakeholders

- The position ensures: Complete and overarching view and ownership of the various payment and debit card products for all segments on both digital and physical channels

Key Accountabilities :

Accomplish all responsibilities in relation to:

- Maintain and build end to end proposition for the Niche segments

- Selectively broaden product offerings for these segments to maximize our share among customers

- Continuously engage with internal and external partners to upgrade and innovate products to provide value-added benefits to the customers

- Market Overview on Competition Offerings and digital capabilities

- Customer Journey Designs

- Adherence - with Ops, control groups, technology

- Ensure customer engagement for new and existing products

- Act as Business Liaison with external stakeholders including RBI, IBA, UIDAI, NPCI, Payment providers

Job Duties & responsibilities :

- Engage and build cross sell opportunities of existing products both on the digital banking and branch banking base.

- Design customer journey for existing and new payment product

- Developing and updating procedures, policies, controls and monitoring plans for payment business

- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

- Business SPOC for Internal & External Audits and ensuring minimum "satisfactory" ratings

- Compare digital payment strategies of other banks and keep enhancing our platform

- Campaign management: Ideate, create and run campaigns for driving usage

- Define business requirement and work with technology teams to launch offerings via liaison with Internal & External partners

- Manage the P&L responsibility

- Conduct market analysis, feasibility studies and trend analysis to keep abreast of industry development and identify opportunities; and submit new product proposals

- Define and maintain product strategy, product revenue, market adoption, and Portfolio Management and penetration goals.

- Work with Marketing to develop and implement customer contact strategies and marketing tools to support acquisition, retention and cross sale activities .Monitor industry, market, competitor and regulatory trends to ensure that opportunities and risk are identified and appropriate plans are implemented

Required Experience :

- 5-7 Years + experience in Retail/Digital Banking

- 2 Years + Experienced in Product development, management and life cycle.

- Experience in Human Centric Design and Customer Journeys

- Proficiency in MS Excel/Power point


Education / Preferred Qualifications :

- MBA from a reputed institute preferer

- Minimum requirement: Graduate degree

- Stakeholder Management

- Communications Skills

- Drive for result.

- Ability to work in an environment of changing requirements

Technical Competencies:

- Relevant experience in Banking products such as Debit Card, Payments

- Market and Competitive knowledge

- Working knowledge of mobile apps

Work Relationship:

- Will be working across verticals - LCS, GSMC, T&O and Customer service.

- Will be reporting into the Liabilities Product Head
