Job purpose is maintain healthy product line-up with following objectives :
- Responsible for complete ownership of product from concept note stage to end product on the shelf.
- This role will include the accountability & ownership of portfolio roadmap, innovation, lifecycle management, market share and profitability.
Team / Reporting Relationship
- Position reports into the GM - Product Development : Appliances.
- At peer level position works closely with other product managers in Cooking Appliances, Food Preparation, & Fabric Care

END RESULTS MAJOR ACTIVITIES
Need Analysis
- Identify the consumer pain points.
- Work on the need gap analysis through research, consumer interaction, market intelligence. If required work with external agencies to generate consumer insights.
- Understand competition strategy and market trends in the product category.
Business Potential Identification
- Provide a detailed Business Potential analysis / scoping of the product to assess the feasibility of the newly identified product / categories.
- The scoping to include Value Proposition definition, product specifications, BoM Targets, Volume & business plan projections
Design & Validation - Identify the Project Team with agreed project charter, timelines and review mechanisms. Interface with the Technical, Sourcing, R&D, Finance, Design & Service teams internally to create the project plan.
- Complete ownership of prototyping - and technical validation of the product design
- Act as a Project Manager and supervise various milestones of the project charter till commercial release
Major Challenges
- Handling a diverse team at peer / senior level from different departments
- Navigating between various control points - internal & external
- Timely delivery of the project as per the planned timelines
Key Decisions this job will facilitate
- Short, Mid and Long term product plans
- Manage product lifecycle
- Conceptualization / Innovation of new ideas and their feasibility for commercial launch

Skills & Knowledge
- Educational Qualifications : MBA / B Tech (Mechanical / Technical)
Preference would be given to the candidates who have multi skills of R&D, Innovation, quality, procurement.
- Relevant Experience : 6 to 12 years with exposure to Product Management.
