Product Manager-BD (State Approval)


Job Description:

1. Rollout a structured process for new business development function using the industry segment approach

2. Create a roadmap for business development in PSU, DEFENCE, RAILWAYS Projects & Company Approvals.

3. To coordinate with respective plants for documents and submit the same to government authorities on Pan India basis.

4. Developing and maintaining relationship with government approving authorities.

5. Organise visits of approving authorities to plant for audit, testing and technical discussion.

6. To get approval after bridging gaps of all relevant requirements of approvals on Pan India basis.

7. Identify new opportunities & projects coming up in the near future.

8. Proactively engage with key customers & stakeholders, and through industry forums, create arenas for interacting with downstream influencers, to capture new business opportunities

9. Facilitate actions on the identified business opportunities along with Sales colleagues, handover for regular business once commercial supplies are established.

10. Responsible for guiding and facilitating regional NBD/AE/PDQC in the study for business opportunities (All regions)

Educational Background and Work Experience:

- Engineer with 8 to12 year of experience

- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the PSU, DEFENCE, RAILWAYS & Govt Institutions in the sourcing domain or of selling of Steel PSU, DEFENCE, RAILWAYS, Govt.Institutions & Corporates

Key Success Factors - Challenges:

- Building working relationship with key stakeholders (Government & Institutional Sales) Coordination/ appointments with authorities. Bridging gaps of requirements.

- Identification of new opportunities & upcoming projects. Securing competitive advantages in the assigned segment Understanding Market Dynamics and uncertainties.

- Ability to influence stakeholders (Balance between running the regular business and changing the business)

- Differentiated market cultivation through market segmentation
