Product Manager - Brokerage Industry

Overview:

As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing software development projects from inception to completion. You will be responsible for understanding project requirements, coordinating with internal and external development teams, and ensuring timely and successful delivery. Your expertise in UI/UX for mobile solutions and experience in scalable and high-performance service-based web applications will be crucial in creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage software development projects within the brokerage industry.

- Understand and document project requirements, translating them into actionable tasks for development teams.

- Drive project deliveries from both internal and external development teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.

- Oversee projects involving the digitization of current physical processes, enhancing efficiency and accessibility.

- Evaluate and ensure high-quality UI/UX for mobile solutions, prioritizing user satisfaction and engagement.

- Communicate project scope, meet release milestones, and uphold high-quality product releases.

- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.

- Take accountability for moving key business metrics, providing thought partnership to the product team to ensure collaboration among product, engineering, and business operation teams.

- Analyze problems and drive long-term technology solutions to enhance product scalability, performance, reliability, and supportability.

Requirements:

- 5 to 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development.

- Proven track record in handling projects involving the digitization of physical processes.

- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles for mobile solutions.

- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to drive teams towards successful project completion.

- Experience designing and building scalable, high-availability distributed systems.

- Strong understanding of microservices architectures, API design, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).

- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.

- At least 2 years of experience in leading small and mid-sized development teams.

- Great project management skills to lead and juggle multi-engineer projects and deliver high-quality projects on time.
