Job Description - API Product Manager Partnerships

- API banking has become a viable option for banks to have efficient and effective partnership strategy.

- API partnerships vary by the type of services offered / consumed and is an evolving space.

- As an API Product Manager for Partnerships, you will play a key role in driving Partnerships based on applicability of API driven solutions and use cases, alignment and compatibility with the Bank's information technology architecture, risk, and security procedures and adherence to industry leading practices available for API management and partnerships.

What we expect of you, day to day :

- Subject matter expertise on HDFC Bank's API Catalogue, API functionalities and various policies of the bank.

- Ability to understand and articulate the Partner requirement.

- Ensure Partners meet internal policy specifications and are onboarded as per banks guidelines.

- Interacting with CTO/CIOs Product heads to understand their requirement, handle queries and provide solutions.

- Basic understanding of legal agreements and addendums and ability to negotiate with Partner legal teams.

- Work simultaneously and closely with development leads providing consultancy on API design to ensure implementation of HDFC Bank technical standards and relevant business requirements.

- Provide appropriate API specs and business requirements for Partner engineering teams to implement the integrations.

- Ability to manage multiple partner integrations and ensure timelines are not breached.

- Continuously pursue a strong knowledge of internal and external technology solutions, and maintain a strong understanding of applicable technologies, tools, and services

- Monitor business generated through various APIs, reporting and database management for all partner related details.

Key Competencies :

- Knowledge of API banking and banking products

- Experience of legal negotiations

- Experience in Partner management

Qualifications :

Minimum :

- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred :

- MBA, advanced technical degree or equivalent, experience in API Banking and Partner Management

- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and influencing skills.

- Proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships.
