Product Manager - Agrochemicals
- Person will be responsible for a Portfolio in Herbicide, Fungicide, Insecticide or PGRs division on a global level & marketing/product management of entire suite of agrochemical products
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research for identifying customer need:
- SWOT Analysis
- Customer preferences
- Creating a Model product design to R&D.
Product screening/ selection:
- Evaluating station trials
- Evaluating strip trials
- Evaluating Large scale trials
Market Intelligence:
- Studying market trends
- Competing brands- market share, pricing, schemes
- Channel analysis
- Customer profile/ value analysis/brand switching behaviour
Segmentation:
- Analyzing Product and Market segments
- Product positioning
- Analyzing product fitment
- Decision on placing in which market/against which competitors' product
Marketing mix:
- Deciding Pricing/packaging/schemes
Communication mix:
- Deciding advertisement objectives/channel promo objectives/customer promo objectives
- Product promotion
- Select the communication media
- Design communication campaigns
- Analysing the effectiveness of promotion campaigns.
- Product performance evaluation
- Newly Commercialized products
- Channel and Customer feedback
Coordinating with other Departments:
- Work with R&D-Communicating product needs/Product performance feedback
- Work with Production - Giving Production Plan
- Work with PRC - Timely availability and packing
- Work with Advertisement-Designing/printing Product literature/packing design
- Work with MDMs - Implementation of marketing campaigns/product promotion
- Work with RBMs - Budgeting and implementing marketing mix.
Qualification And Experience:
i. B.Sc./M.Sc. (Agri.) and MBA in agribusiness from Premier institute with significant experience in agrochemical marketing or Product management.
ii. Candidates who are in other agri inputs can also be considered provided they have prior extensive experience in agrochemical sector and have proven product management/marketing skills.
