Job Description:
Head Product is primarily responsible for strategic product planning, defining, delivering and continuously innovating internet based consumer products and services across all of digital platforms (mobile devices, Web browser, connected TVs, etc.).
While reporting to business, must understand consumer needs, convert broad ideas into rationalized product definitions and specifications, and collaboratively deliver products in a timely manner. He/she must be able to drive consensus among various stakeholders and articulate tradeoffs used in making product related choices & decisions.
Skill Sets:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and work on projects with great efficiency and attention to detail
- Excellent relationship management skills, analytical skills must be metrics driven.
- Strong strategic aptitude; proven ability to define a winning business strategy and product roadmap.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly.
- Strong wire-framing skills
- Well-versed in the entire life-cycle of a digital product, from concept, to opportunity assessment, to requirement documents and feasibility assessments, prototyping to wireframes and through execution, and be comfortable working across teams of producers, content strategists, designers and business stakeholders.
- Understanding of iOS and Android platform capabilities and familiarity with developer ecosystems.
Key Deliverable:
- Work with CPO to drive product development from conceptualization through launch creating actionable plans, work streams and tactics and execute on those in support of new product launches.
- Preparing product roadmap, developing specification documents and managing the entire product development cycle right from idea till execution.
- Managing team of product managers who take care of payments, and
- Creating wireframes & prototypes as part of product specifications.
- Design and manage the mobilization of multiple consumer applications (user generated content, social integration, location, utility, etc.) and enterprise applications (business intelligence, sales force automation, CRM and retail tools).
- Understanding customer needs and consumer behavior through research, customer feedback analysis, click stream analysis, and direct interactions with customers for BM/CBS/NI.
- Analyzing product metrics regularly and use the learning for product innovations and improvements.
- Innovating and delivering products that differentiate us from competition. This will include new products as well as enhancements to existing products.
- Conducting regular competition analysis and recommending plan of action - should master the details of competitive landscape.
- Working closely with Engineering, Research, Quality Assurance, Design and Marketing teams to create \ synergies leading to a high quality product.
- Creating product specifications documents and conducting product specification reviews with key stakeholders such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Design & others.
- Ensuring timely delivery of projects through proper planning, scheduling and execution.
Other responsibilities include:
- Providing product related inputs to marketing, sales and CRM teams.
- Training and mentoring teams as and when required.
