Urgent requirement for Product Manager with a leading Consumer durable company.

Candidate working in Consumer Durable industry should only apply.

Most relevant candidates would be--

1. MBA in marketing from a reputed B school

2. 7-10 years of relevant experience in marketing and product management

3. Must be working in the product side and not on the sales side though having an understanding of sales and experience in the past will be preferred

4. Must have been involved in conceptualization of any product and taken to market

5. Have a mix of professional company exposure and also entrepreneurial set ups

6.Good appreciation of cost and profitability

7.Experience in companies with retail push rather than consumer pull

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES-

Product Development

1. Overall responsibility of the product both in terms of financial success as well as customer satisfaction

2. Define and develop the product characteristics and elements from a customer stand point.

3. Packaging of the product and its look and feel and innovative ways to present it

4. Prescribe the pricing of the product vis a vis competition and the entire profitability analysis that goes with it.

5. Competitive analysis and market segmentation. Taking steps to correctly segment the product

6. Developing trade schemes and other marketing initiatives and sales activation programs

7. ATL and BTL activities to get the product to masses

8.Monitor, analyse, and evaluate market trends, consumer / customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for the brands.

9.Understand market research need for the brands and execute a market research road map. Ensure market research done is utilized meaningfully to achieve business objectives.

Brand Management and Marketing

1.Monitor and influence demand forecasting; monitor sales and other brand metrics and adapt plans as required.

2. Manage external and internal constituents like advt agencies, research etc

3. Monitor and recommend action for brand profitability.

4. Ensure that the marketing support budgets are effectively utilized and appropriately accounted for the relevant group of brands.
