Product Consultant - Health Insurance - Insurance Technology Firm - Contractual

Our client, a leading insurance technology provider, is seeking a highly skilled Product Manager or a Business Analyst with deep expertise in the Indian health insurance sector. The selected consultant will work closely with the client's team to enhance their existing systems.

This project is part of a larger digital transformation initiative aimed at optimizing and modernizing health insurance claims processing and policy management for the client. The Product Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the solution aligns with both customer-specific requirements and broader market needs in India.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert guidance in designing business processes aligned with the clients out-of-the-box features and customized configurations

- Participate actively in the User Story grooming phase, ensuring thorough documentation and review of user stories within Jira

- Quickly and independently learn clients products, including Claims, Insights, and Policy, to provide valuable input and guidance

- Review and validate customer requirements from India, providing alternative solutions when necessary and ensuring alignment with project goals

- Classify requirements as Core Claims, Non-Core, customer-specific, or India Market/Health Line of Business (LOB)-specific, gaining buy-in from stakeholders

- Lead discussions with clients and project teams, ensuring that the solutions meet both the customer's needs and market standards

- Participate in scope discussions and manage change requests proactively to ensure smooth project delivery

- Adopt and promote clients' ways of working within the team

- Guide development and QA teams as needed to ensure accurate execution of the business requirements

Your Background:

- 10-15 years of experience as a Business Analyst or a Product Manager, with significant experience in the Indian health insurance sector

- Strong hands-on experience with Jira for documenting and managing user stories

- Deep knowledge of insurance products, particularly within the health insurance domain

- Proven experience with business process design and configuration of SaaS-based solutions, ideally within the insurance technology space

- Ability to manage stakeholders, lead discussions, and provide guidance on scope and change management

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

This opportunity will be on an initial contract duration of 2 to 3-months. The consultant will be required to work-onsite in Mumbai for the entire duration of the project.
