The procurement process should be customised according to the grade of competition and the existing knowledge level of the buyer about the wind turbine market.
In order to be well prepared for supplier negotiations, it is crucial to understand the market dynamics with the recent developments and market deficiencies
1) Develop a close network with all wind industry players and stakeholders
2) Manage entire Procure-to-Pay Process - Prepare and Release RFP, Obtain Quotes, Negotiate, Prepare Techno-commercial Evaluation and Comparison Statement, Recommendation, Note for Approval, Contract/ Purchase Order/ Work Order Preparation & Closure.
3) Settle issues with Supplier/ Contractor viz. payment reconciliation, debit note, implementation of penalty clauses, risk purchase clauses etc.
4) Work collaboratively with Engineering, Projects, Finance & Accounts, Legal, and Construction teams to understand cost targets, project timelines, compliance aspects and related constraints.
5) Necessary bid process to evaluate product options
