Procurement Manager - Transportation Services

Key Focus Areas of Work:

- Developing procurement strategies to reduce overall transportation costs

- Controlling the primary freight budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on transportation costs

- Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks

- Institute policies and procedures that will reduce overall expenses while increasing productivity

Primary Responsibility:

- Conducting transportation bids

- Sourcing and engaging reliable transport partners

- Negotiating with transport partners to secure advantageous terms

- Preparing and reviewing existing contracts with vendors to ensure on-going feasibility

- Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors

- Organizing and ensuring delivery of goods in time

- Performing risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements

- Preparing MIS reports

- Delegate tasks and monitor the transportation related procurement activities

- Preparing yearly budgets

Qualification : Minimum Graduate in any stream. MBA in Supply Chain Management (preferable)

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Proficient in English language spoken & Written

- Experienced in using SAP
