Procurement Leader - Conglomerate

Please note: This is a leadership role with a large Indian Conglomerate. Only Candidates who have a minimum of17 years of work experience and those who have managed capex/EPC spends of a minimum of 1000 crore will be considered.

Job role - Capex purchase for supply and service in RE industry including purchase for new technologies such as floating solar, battery storage etc, Strategic purchase of PV Modules and Wind turbines Contract preparation, Contract Management including warranty management Capex estimates for new projects under bidding

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure high-quality, cost-effective procurement of goods and services. Negotiate contracts and establish terms with key suppliers.

- Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives and ensure value for money in all procurement activities. Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings.

- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain, ensuring continuity of supply and compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.

- Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement strategies and supplier performance.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineering teams, and finance, to understand requirements and ensure alignment with procurement activities.

- Sustainability Initiatives: Promote and integrate sustainability practices within the procurement process, supporting the company's commitment to environmental responsibility.

Experience Required:

1.17 - 25 years of experience in Procurement for Capex coupled with Operations or Maintenance experience

1.2. In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, product knowledge, industry knowledge, good understating of the commercial terms and conditions and commercial acumen

1.3.Experience in digital sourcing and procurement systems

1.4.Familiarity with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements

1.5.Experience in handling LSTK projects would be an added advantage
