Responsibilities:

- Customs clearance: Coordinate with Logistics team for import/export shipment activities, including customs clearance and documentation. Develop and implement policies and procedures related to imports.

- Logistics: Liaise and negotiate with Logistics team to ensure timely accurate import processes and paperwork

- Supplier Identification and Evaluation: Identify potential suppliers aligned with product needs through market research and industry analysis. Evaluate supplier capabilities, conduct due diligence, and assess their ability to meet quality standards and delivery requirements.

- Contract Management: Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with suppliers, aiming for favourable terms while maintaining quality and cost-efficiency. Draft and manage supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards and specifications for products/materials. Monitor supplier performance, conduct quality audits, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.

- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, fostering collaboration and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.

- Conduct regular supplier meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions to improve partnership effectiveness.

- Cost Management and Optimization: Analyze pricing trends, market fluctuations, and cost structures to optimize sourcing strategies and minimize procurement expenses. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies in the sourcing process without compromising quality.

- Cross functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketplace team to forecast demand, ensure timely deliveries, and manage inventory levels based on product requirements. Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline processes and align sourcing activities with company goals.

- Invoice/GIT reconciliation and Optimization: Maintain Proper GIT data, Manage, Quarterly reconciliation of Books along with vendors and Finance team.

Qualifications and Skills:

- An Engineer with Experience in Import & Export is a must. Well versed with different stages of Customs clearance and compliances

- Logistics - Sea freight and air freight, along with first and last mile

- Inventory & GIT planning.

- Ordering based on lead time.

- Excellent vendor management and negotiation

- Good communication skills

- Proficiency with MS Office and SAP. Must be good in Data management.

- Cost efficient mindset

- Preferably Knowledge of Part procurement in Earthmoving/Construction Equipment/Mining/Heavy engineering Industry.

- Patient & Tactful in managing low volume but high variety Parts
