Position Title: Manager, Procurement (India)

Location: Mumbai / Gurugram / Pune
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for providing strategic procurement support to the organization's country operations. The incumbent will collaborate with cross- functional teams such as OMS, IMS and CLS to ensure that procurement activities are aligned with the organization's goals, standards, and policies. The incumbent will be expected to stay up- to- date with procurement market trends and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Operational:
- Develop Strategic partnership & investment plan link to procurement strategy
- Contribute to the development of procurement strategies and plans for the country operations.
- Manage procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, bidding, and contract management.
- Advise on and execute procurement strategy for our products and services to support business growth in respective LOB like OMS, IMS & CLS (2 PL, road transport, rail and coastal movements, WH infra, Manpower vendors and Capex).
- Build good network of Transporters or Suppliers at all levels (PAN India) to win more IMS business.
- Build strategic relationship with government or vendors for rail and coastal capability development.
- Close collaboration and building strong partnership with vendors to ensure on time and best service delivery to Company's customers.
- Review KPIS and create solutions to improve performance in line with stakeholder needs
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements.
- Develop vendor or supplier loyalty programs and have frequent review mechanism.
- Identify cost- saving opportunities and recommend solutions.
- Leverage technology or New market trends for better procurement to improve CPU (Cost per Unit)Compliance and Risk Management
- Develop Procurement Framework including Governance & Risk assessment approach
- Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and internal policies.
- Conduct procurement risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Standardize sourcing framework, transparency and effective vendor selection process.
- Assess vendors' performance levels, monitor vendors' compliance with contractual obligations and report deviations; ensure backup list is kept up to date for contingency purpose.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Insights and Reporting:
- Gather and analyse market information to support procurement decisions.
- Drive vendor service contracting, procurement efforts to achieve the Company budgets including CPU
- Analyse procurement data and provide insights to improve procurement performance; include cost- effective strategies.
- Develop and maintain procurement metrics and dashboards for reporting.
- Prepare periodic reports and presentations on procurement performance.
- Continuously monitor procurement trends and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
Continuous Process Improvement:
- Continuously review procurement processes and procedures and recommend improvements.
- Develop and implement procurement process automation initiatives.
- Conduct procurement- related training and capacity- building activities.
- Develop and maintain procurement knowledge management systems.
People Management:
- As an SME and Operational Leader performs to the highest ethical and professional standards. Embraces Company's Values and drives cross functional collaboration and engagement to deliver superior results to our stakeholders while providing exceptional customer experience.
- Ensures Procurement functional teams have the competencies, capabilities, and tools to consistently delivers goals and objectives; develops training programs for team competency development and deliver best results.
- Determines optimum organization structure, roles and responsibilities and performance targets for the function.
- Ensures the effective deployment of Company performance management, succession planning and talent management.
Education:
General Education:
- Master's degree in procurement, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent qualification.
Experience:
General Experience:
- Minimum 15 - 20 years of relevant work experience in procurement, preferably in a logistics firm. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
