Our client a leading global strategy consulting firm, is working on a cost reduction project for a large manufacturing client in Sri Lanka. The ultimate goal of the exercise is to reduce the overall procurement cost of the company except for the people cost. They have been on the project for a year and have created the plan and design for the execution of this project. They are now looking for a resource to assist them with the implementation of the plan.
To support the delivery of this engagement they are looking for someone with a deep understanding of procurement spending and prior experience in similar cost optimisation/reduction engagements.
Below summarizes the responsibilities of the consultant:
- Identify cost reduction opportunities by developing alternate & cost-effective methods
- Implement cost reduction solutions and recommend changes to improve the overall procurement spend
- Ownership of all allocated tasks by applying a project management framework for their effective delivery
- Manage overall module while working with the rest of the team
- Effective communication and senior stakeholder management
Experience Required:
- 5 to 12 years of experience in the procurement domain
- Prior experience of working on cost optimisation projects
This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 4-month contract with a possibility of extension. The selected consultant will be required to be on-site for 3 days a week in Sri Lanka and will be provided flybacks to the base location.
