Pro Vice Chancellor - Academics

The Pro-Vice-Chancellor works under the direct supervision of the Vice-Chancellor. He/she reports to the vice-chancellor in regular intervals regarding the day-to-day affairs associated with the group of cluster/schools of the University. He/she has the following duties and responsibilities.

1. To act as the head of his cluster and to address all the relevant issues of his cluster. To report the VC and the management on his cluster.

2. To oversee the day-to-day functions of his/her group of schools/ cluster and to report the activities to the VC and the management.

3. To plan the academics and other activities of his/her cluster through the deans and directors of the schools.

4. To make the academic calendar in collaboration with the dean (academics) incorporating all the important events of the university and its schools.

5. To oversee the research and innovation activities of his cluster and to improve the ranking and rating of the university and its programs.

6. To assist the VC in organizing training programs for faculty in his cluster.

7. To assist the VC in maintaining the discipline and work ethos among the various departments and between the faculty members in his cluster.

8. To supervise over faculty discipline, integrity and commitment in his cluster.

9. To coordinate co-curricular activities for the students of the schools in his cluster.

10. To frame rules for industry-sponsored research, government and NGO projects, and consultancy to create and maintain a database regarding faculty expertise in collaboration with the deans of his/her cluster.

11. To promote the international relationships with the partner universities through OIR and to enhance the strength in the dual degree programs.

12. To facilitate through his/her office faculty in procuring equipment necessary to conduct research/consultancy work, recruitment of project staff.

13. To supervise and co-ordinate examinations and convocation functions of the university along with other Pro-VCs and registrar (evaluation).

14. To assist the VC in the implementation of the NEP 2020 in his cluster in collaboration with other Pro-VCs and deans/directors of schools.

15. To plan and oversee the admission and expansion of the university programs for the future.

16. To collaborate with the VC in taking suitable steps from time to time to strive for the high academic standards.

17. To report all the relevant information related to academics to the VC and the management in regular intervals.

18. To perform all other duties assigned to him from time to time by the management and the vice-chancellor.

19. Brand Value, Ranking and rating survey report and implementation.

21. Sustainable development goals implementation.

22. Fund Generation by CSR and other activities.

23. FM radio and community connect

24. Government programs implementation and overseeing.

25. Online and distance education programs monitor and taking approval in monitoring, and admitting students for online distance education programs.

Qualification & Experience:

Should be Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) in Psychology or Other Terminal degree in a relevant field (University Focused and needs) with Strong Management and Leadership skills, Effective communication, collaboration skills and Strategic Planning.
