Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Private Equity/Venture Capital Investment Professional with a strong background in investment research. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 15 years of experience in evaluating, executing, and managing private equity or venture capital investments. This role involves deal sourcing, financial modeling, due diligence, portfolio management, and strategic decision-making to maximize investment returns.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Sourcing & Deal Execution:
- Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities in early-stage or growth-stage companies.
- Conduct industry research to assess market trends, competitive landscape, and investment opportunities.
- Build relationships with founders, investment bankers, accelerators, and other ecosystem partners.
- Lead due diligence processes, including market analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment.
- Prepare investment memos and present recommendations to the investment committee.
Financial Analysis & Research:
- Perform comprehensive financial modeling, valuation analysis, and return projections.
- Assess company business models, revenue streams, and growth potential.
- Monitor macroeconomic and industry trends to identify investment themes.
- Develop and maintain research reports on key industries and market opportunities.
Portfolio Management & Value Creation:
- Support portfolio companies in strategic initiatives such as fundraising, scaling operations, and market expansion.
- Track financial and operational performance of portfolio companies, providing insights and recommendations.
- Engage with founders and management teams to drive value creation and operational efficiencies.
- Assist in structuring exit strategies, including IPOs, mergers, and acquisitions.
Stakeholder & Investor Relations:
- Engage with investors, limited partners (LPs), and other stakeholders to provide updates on fund performance.
- Prepare investor presentations, quarterly reports, and financial summaries.
- Support fundraising efforts by developing pitch materials and engaging with potential investors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 5-15 years of experience in Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Consulting, or Corporate Finance.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and due diligence.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and investment strategies.
- Proven experience in sourcing and executing investment deals.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- MBA, CFA, or CA preferred but not mandatory.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in specific sectors such as technology, healthcare, fintech, or consumer markets is a plus.
- Strong networking and relationship management skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
