Job Description:
- The Senior Consultant/Principal Consultant participates as a key contributor or as a team member of large or mega-deal engagements in a given business function. The SC participates as part of an advisory team in the delivery and support of client sourcing initiatives.
- He or she assists and/or leads in the development of initial assessments, project plans, vendor research and selections, financial modeling, RFP creation, contract negotiations and post selection administrative actions.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Qualifications:
- 9-16 years recent experience with consulting engagements or with large consulting firm or specialty practice related to the outsourcing industry.
- Experience focused on transformation aspects including shared services, operational improvement and outsourcing/offshoring.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience (3+ years) in financial management of global outsourced Services and Service Providers.
- Proven knowledge and experience in sourcing financial management (5+ years).
- An understanding of global corporate financial practices and goals - including drivers of process costs, ability to work with Service Providers to ensure effective cost solutions and agreed upon service level agreements.
- Working knowledge of accounting activities and concepts a requirement - operational understanding of accounting a significant plus
- Business development and sales experience including prospecting, lead qualification, proposal writing, sales calls and sales support.
- Working knowledge of capabilities of Tier 1 and Tier 2 outsourcing vendors.
- Practice development experience, including sales and marketing collateral development, IP development and solution development.
- Delivery management experience, including managing teams at all project phases, successful client relationship management and multi-project oversight.
- Ability to do both strategic assessment and transactional consulting at senior levels. Understands full sourcing lifecycle.
- Team development and management experience, including recruiting, relationship management, mentoring and utilization management.
- Strong presentation, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to all levels of management including senior leaders.
Education:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in a technical or scientific field - a degree or minor in accounting a significant plus.
- MBA or other advanced degree(s)
