Principal - Private Equity (Growth stage)

Development of Investment strategy:

a. To assist in the development of investment strategies and approach for the different sectors.

b. To identify plan and carry out sector-based and theme-based coverage activities for deal sourcing and relationship development.

c. To have hands- on experience in sourcing, executing deals, negotiating and closing deals.

Investment evaluations:

a. To identify opportunities and recommend investment avenues based on investment strategies and approaches developed.

b. To prepare of investment proposal papers including to oversee financial assessments, fundamental analyses and due diligence activities. The incumbent should have understanding on detailed financial modelling and should be good in analysing company's financial statements for decision-making purposes.

Should have good understanding about top-down industry analysis, Developing sector thesis and sector Mapping.

c. To identify and evaluate risks appropriately for each investment proposal

d. To be thorough with investment structuring, negotiation, and execution of transaction documents

Post-investment monitoring and reporting

a. To support the team in monitoring and managing existing and new investments, including working with the different sector teams in overseeing investments.

b. To actively plan and drive value creation initiatives for the various investments made

c. To actively engage with key stakeholders in investee companies, including partners, business owners and management teams, in delivering value creation plans and addressing business challenges

d. To prepare monthly and quarterly investment management and monitoring reports and reviews

What makes you a Great Fit?

- A master's degree or equivalent professional qualification in finance or business from top tier universities such as IIMs/ISB/IIT/NIT

- Overall 10+ years of experience with minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in Private Equity and end to end deal closures

- Should have strong mathematical and analytical problem-solving skills.

- Strong research and analytical skills including the ability to gather, interpret and effectively communicate macroeconomic, capital market and company specific data.

- Able to organize and summarize complex macroeconomic, capital market and property market data and concepts in writing.

- Develop and maintain detailed working files including the creation of databases to track macroeconomic, capital market and company performance time series.

- Should be continuously involved in evolving system and process within the team to benefit the organization.

- Ability to handle data and create cash flow and research models that can assist in carrying out company research

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
