Job Title - Data Architect

Roles and Responsibilities

- Will be responsible for architecting data analytics and data integration platform for an Airline Solutions business unit.

- Will be accountable for providing Technical leadership, identify emerging trends and drive strategic architectural plans to the data analytics and integration platform.

- Will be responsible for deciding tools and technologies for implementing the architecture and ensuring that architecture is aligned with and capable of supporting the business strategy.

- Will need to implement and help maintain the data architecture to capture, integrate, organize, centralize and maintain data from disparate sources.

- Should define best practices and standards around data platforms tools and technologies around warehousing, ETL, data modelling, data integration etc. Focus on continual improvement of data quality, security, availability, performance and consistency.

- Collaborate with Data Scientists and Product Owners to find actionable insights that are key to decision- making that will drive product value or new products for customers.

- Align and Collaborate with business, product development and operational teams to meet the objectives of the initiative.

Requirements

Total of 10+ years of experience with 5+ years- experience in architecting and implementing large data analytics and integration platforms.

Must have Skills:

- Should have experience with architecting, building and deploying data analytics and integration platforms.

- Experience on Data modelling for high data intensive applications with structured and unstructured data

- Should have experience on performance tuning of databases with terabytes of data

- Must have exposure to languages like Hive, SQL, Spark, Python/R, Hadoop.

- Good experience working on both Sql and Nonsql Databases like Oracle, Teradata, Vertica, MongoDB etc.

- Should have Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence knowledge

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.

- Ability to work on multiple products simultaneously.

- Should be a great collaborator.

- Self-driven leader who can design and articulate his vision.

- Ability to organize and lead matrixed teams.
