Job Description - The incumbent will be Principal and lead lawyer for the studio business, managing a team of 6-8 lawyers and one assistant. He /She will be Responsible for the studio legal business and reports into the India general counsel and managing all relevant business and legal stakeholders

- Supervising and negotiating deals for co-productions, financing, and talent acquisition; also managing contracts with directors, producers, writers, production houses, music composers, and cast and crew, along with minor agreements and other contracts pertaining to production of films in India.

- Monitoring negotiations for agreements for distribution of Hollywood and Bollywood content, including syndication deals with broadcasters; managing contracts with leading companies for online sale of content.

- Managing negotiations for deals related to marketing, distribution and promotion of Indian and international films.

- Directing due diligence for acquisition of films, and supervising negotiations and documentation for relevant agreements. Reviewing and clearing scripts for motion picture productions in India.

- Key Stakeholders:

- Management team of the studio department.

The Successful Candidate - 10-12 years experience post LLB preferably from IT , Media / law firm

- Leadership skill, responsible, driven and sound understanding of legal risk analysis

- Profiles from Organizations with focus on IPR/ Content will be preferred
