Business / Department Objectives:

Provide analytic support to the business teams, understand the business context and formulate and execute appropriate analytical approach (es) to address the business situation. Independently manage end to end partner communication.

Principal Analyst will be part of the Global Operations Analytics team at GDM COE, Bangalore

Core Responsibilities:

Analytic Project Execution:

- Own and deliver consistently on multiple and complex analytic projects. This would require an understanding of business context and the ability to formulate and execute analytic approaches to address the business situation.

- Identify solutions beyond traditional methods - using advanced analytical methods and new data sources

- Measure & Own the business impact of work, Set and manage partner expectations, Manage timeliness around project priorities

- Improves business processes to drive efficiencies

- Is able to coach/ mentor junior team members on theory/ practical applications of relevant tools & techniques

Business Knowledge: Develop an understanding of the domain/function. Manage business process (es) in the work area. The individual is expected to develop domain expertise in his/her work area.

Capability Development: Participate in initiatives run in GDM for getting the organization ready for the Future.

Communication: Effectively communicate strategic considerations with team, partners and senior management.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Break down complex business problems into relevant analytical solutions, and execute one or more of those steps independently

- Identify new tools and techniques as required to build solutions that go beyond traditional methods

- Coordinate with stakeholders in both business and GDM teams to as required for project planning and execution

Education:

Highly numerate, as demonstrated by Masters in a numerate subject such as Mathematics, Operational Research, Business Administration, Economics etc. from Premier Institute or a track record of performance that demonstrates this ability

Experience:

3-12 Years exposure to Financial Services with experience in Collection analytics in any/all of the following:

- Early and late stage recovery strategies

- Skip tracing

- Dialler strategy

- Dunning cycle behaviour

- Site and collection efficiencies

- Rep effectiveness

- Delinquency modeling

- Understanding of Credit card/unsecured lending

- Banking/BFSI domain is mandatory

- Collections analytics is mandatory

Analytical Skills:

1. Hands-on working with data

2. Proficient in Formulating Analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data

3. Business Impact Analysis

4. Hypothesis testing, Knowledge of Segmentation

5. Knowledge of predictive modeling

6. Understanding of Machine learning techniques

Soft Skills:

1. Highly Self motivated

2. Client focus: Proficient in managing various stakeholders

3. Capability to act as an Owner & deliver results

4. Effective communication & Good interpersonal skills

5. Good Time management

7. Mentoring skills

Tools and Platforms:

1. Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint

2. Proficient in SAS, SQL, SAS JMP / Knowledge Seeker,R

3. Familiarity with RDBMS - Teradata/ Oracle, etc
