General Summary:.
The Pricing Analyst is responsible for delivering research, analyses, and strategic insights to develop and refine pricing strategies for products and services.
This role works in partnership with cross-functional teams to drive growth through pricing initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:.
- Provides support to the Pricing & Packaging team, with a high attention to detail.
- Creates and executes pricing strategies, including the annual price increase process, based on data-driven analyses to accelerate revenue growth and profitability.
- Analyzes complex data, provides actionable insights including identifying trends on average sales price, discounting, deal sizes and leading indicators that could drive new business models, optimizations, and monetization.
- Models out the financial impact of initiatives, such as changing pricing levels and pricing models.
- Prepares and presents recommendations to cross-functional teams.
- Assists with the implementation, testing, and rollout of pricing initiatives, including creating and tracking KPIs to measure effectiveness.
- Manages the price lists by product, from requesting new SKU requests to updating existing price lists.
- Provides guidance and updates based on market and competitive behavior.
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities Required:.
- Efficient project management skills and organization skills, with ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision.
- Strong analytical and financial skills to work on complex business issues.
- Ability to situationally adapt and understand new products and processes as per business and partner requirements.
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality results.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with key stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
- Professional presence suitable for interaction in meetings, in-person, or via email, as well as at internal and external facing events, including excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of Excel, data visualization tools, or other data/pricing analytical tools.
- Detail-oriented and self-driven.
- Educational/Vocational/Previous Experience Recommendations:.
- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Preferred: Experience working with SaaS revenue models.
- Preferred: Experience in business, sales, finance, pricing, and/or management consulting environments.
