President - Technical Projects

We are currently seeking a President of Technical Projects for our leading company manufacturing home care, personal care, and laundry products while teaming up with companies on a contract basis and supplying them with high-quality products.

Location: Chandigarh, India

Key Responsibilities :

- Project Management: Lead, plan, execute, and oversee complex technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with budget, timeline, and quality standards.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other senior leaders, including Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Regulatory Affairs, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to projects.

- Resource Allocation: Effectively allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and technology, to support project success and maximize ROI.

- Technical Expertise: Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.

- Team Development: Mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing technical team, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.

- Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all technical projects adhere to industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

- Negotiation and Convincing Skills: Employ strong negotiation and convincing skills to advocate for and drive the adoption of technically sound solutions. Influence stakeholders and resolve technical disputes effectively.

- Precision and Detail Orientation: Maintain a keen eye for detail and precision in all technical aspects of projects. Ensure that all technical deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

- Technical Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, product specifications, and industry standards. Stay updated on the latest developments in technology and regulatory requirements.

- Strategic Leadership: Work closely with the executive team to formulate and execute technical strategies that align with the company's overall goals. Provide input on resource allocation and investment decisions.

Required Key Skills & Qualifications :

- Master's/Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- 15-20 years of experience in a technical leadership role within the FMCG or Pharma Industry.

- Well versed with AutoCAD.

- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

- Exceptional leadership and team management abilities.

- In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, technologies, and industry best practices.

- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing market conditions and drive innovation.

- A commitment to precision, detail orientation, and quality assurance.

- Strategic thinker with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.

- Position will be based at Chandigarh and may involve travelling across the India to support project activities.
