Role : President (Operations and Maintenance)

Location : Mumbai (occasional travel to project sites and client locations as required)

Reporting to : Executive Director

Support team : A support team at HO + Operations team- Average 3-5 people on roll at each O&M project site & balance co third party payroll+ Business Development team, Incumbent will assess existing team structure and draw support as required from corporate & project teams in Tendering, Contract management, Accounting & Finance, Safety, Quality etc. As business grows incumbent can build specialized teams.

Position Summary :

The President of Operations and Maintenance has a P&L responsibility for the business unit. He/she will oversee the operational and maintenance aspects of all types of projects (water supply, irrigation, sewage and waste water treatment) in the water business. The President will be pivotal in driving the adoption of new technologies, optimizing costs, and ensuring profitability while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Current volume of business is 15-17 project sites. These are acquired as part of EPC projects completed by Company. The incumbent is expected to acquire additional projects which come up for fresh bidding after expiry of contractual phase.

Responsibilities :

1. Leadership and Management :

- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations and maintenance teams.

- Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies to enhance plant performance and efficiency.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and sustainability.

2. Technology and Innovation :

- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies to improve treatment processes and plant efficiency.

- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to implement innovative solutions.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements, and regulatory changes.

3. Operational Excellence :

- Oversee daily operations to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and compliance.

- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures across all facilities.

- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive operational improvements.

4. Cost Optimization :

- Develop and execute strategies for cost reduction and resource optimization.

- Manage budgets effectively to ensure financial targets are met.

- Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or compliance.

5. Profitability and Financial Management :

- Raise invoices as per contractual terms and ensure prompt payment within terms.

- Drive initiatives to enhance the profitability of operations and maintenance activities.

- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

- Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor financial plans.

6. Compliance and Risk Management :

- Ensure all operations comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational risks.

- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies and stakeholders.
