Overview:
The Presales Consultant is responsible for technical pre-sales support for Trend Micro's family of products. He/ She will work with the sales team in a pre-sales role to develop and position solutions involving Trend Micro's products. The consultant also needs to articulate and demonstrate Trend Micro solutions, and position products relative to competition.
Responsibilities:
- Work independently on pre-sales activities which includes:
- Understand customer IT/Security infrastructure and business requirement
- Strategic Solution selling
- Solution Presentation
- Participate in conference call discussion
- Solution Demonstration and Proof of Concept
- Business Solution Proposal
- RFI/RFP specification preparation
- Preferably with good knowledge of virtualization and cloud innovation technology.
- Responsible to train, manage and update Enterprise Channel Partner Pre-Sale Consultant or Engineer on the product/ technology knowledge.
- Confirm Trend Micro's products meet the prospect's requirements and assist sales in technical qualification during the qualifying process
- Conduct routine update on the new product/ technology to the internal sales staff.
- Work closely with Regional / Global Product Manager and Product Marketing Manager to obtain the latest Product/ Technology know how.
- Act as a spokesperson during Press Interviews on technology or Security products
- Conduct competitor's product analysis; Write technical white papers.
- Obtain an Industry or Technical Certification (i.e. TCSE, MCP, ITIL, CCNA, CISSP, CNE, MCSE, SUN Professional) or equivalent within time-frame established by the manager)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- 6-8 years- experience in pre-sales or related field.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the security industry presentation-ready knowledge and product expertise on keys security technologies and solutions and specialized expertise in one or more network technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Must have at least 5 years working experience in providing entire Pre-Sales activities to large enterprise or government sector.
- Good technical knowledge in Internet architecture, network infrastructure, UNIX, Windows, VMware, Cisco, Email Messaging Security and Web Security is essential.
- Exposure to security software solutions like Firewall, Content Security, Intrusion prevention, encryption, data leakage, data protection and monitoring security will be added advantage
- Experience in preparing business solution proposal and provide corporate presentation to senior management.
- Good written and spoken communication skills in English.
Salary range: 25 - 30 LPA
