Position: Regional Manager Sales & Marketing


Job Description:


Department: Sales & Marketing


- The Regional Manager for the Plantation Business in the irrigation industry will lead the development and execution of sales, marketing, and service strategies for irrigation projects targeting plantations and agricultural estates.


- The role focuses on increasing market share, building relationships with plantation owners and managers, coordinating with service teams, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.


- This position requires frequent site visits, strong leadership skills, and the ability to meet sales and revenue targets.


Sales & Marketing leadership for Irrigation Projects:


- Drive sales of irrigation systems and solutions tailored for plantations and large-scale agricultural estates.


- Lead marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the companys offerings, emphasizing the benefits of irrigation systems in improving crop yield, water conservation, and operational efficiency.


- Develop sales strategies and set targets for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.


- Identify key business opportunities in the plantation and agricultural sector, expanding the customer base and project portfolio.


- Promote the company's brand, positioning it as a market leader in the irrigation industry.


- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop tailored proposals and solutions for prospects.


- Promote the benefits of advanced irrigation systems to increase efficiency, yield, and sustainability.


Customer Relationship & Estate Management:


- Regularly visit clients, plantations, and estates to build relationships, generate enquiries, and conduct surveys for irrigation project feasibility.


- Understand the specific needs of each estate and provide customized solutions to maximize irrigation efficiency and improve productivity.


- Provide consultations to customers regarding the design and implementation of irrigation systems that fit their requirements.


- Maintain long-term relationships with key clients, ensuring repeat business and customer loyalty.


- Oversee and coordinate with service teams & estates to ensure efficient and timely maintenance and troubleshooting activities.


- Ensure timely delivery of projects by coordinating with internal teams and contractors, and managing customer expectations effectively


- Oversee the invoicing, billing, and collection processes, ensuring that financial goals are met.


Business Development:


- Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities, including expansion into new regions or sectors within the plantation industry.


- Establish new business relationships by networking with plantation owners, estate managers, and other key stakeholders.


- Explore opportunities to offer complementary services, such as irrigation system maintenance, upgrades, and related products.


- Monitor market trends and competitors to identify potential areas for growth and new business.


Developing Team:


- Lead and mentor a team of sales and service professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.


- Provide regular training and professional development opportunities to team members to ensure continuous growth and skill enhancement.


- Set clear goals, provide feedback, and ensure that the team is aligned with company objectives and customer expectations.


Performance Management & Target Achievement:


- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for billing, revenue generation, and collections.


- Monitor the progress of ongoing projects and services to ensure they align with financial objectives.


- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, services, and customer satisfaction.


Qualifications:


- B.Tech/Mechanical Engineering & similar/MBA


- Minimum of 4 -6 years of experience in plantation business


- Knowledge of irrigation equipment & products


- Market exposure of North East, Assam, Nepal, Bangladesh.


- Strong ability to build relationships and respond to customer needs


- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


- Strong attention to detail


- Good communication skills, both written and verbal in Hindi & English.


- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.


- Problem-solving and decision-making skills.


- Open to travel 10-12 days monthly


- Candidate based out of Kolkata will be preferred
