Manager - Operations
Key Responsibilities:
Demand Forecasting:
- Collaborate with the Sales Team to develop accurate demand forecasts.
- Utilize historical data, market trends, and sales input to predict future demand effectively.
Supply Planning:
- Create comprehensive supply plans based on demand forecasts to optimize factory production.
- Ensure production schedules align with supply requirements to meet customer demands without overproduction.
Inventory Tracking:
- Monitor inventory levels, including Stock in Hand (SIH), Days of Cover, FIFO (First In, First Out), and SLOB (Slow Moving and Obsolete Inventory).
- Implement strategies to manage inventory efficiently and reduce excess stock and waste.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze operational data to make informed and accurate decisions.
- Use data-driven insights to improve production processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Coordinate with various departments, including sales, production, logistics, and procurement, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to align operational activities with overall business goals.
Future Planning:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for future growth and operational improvement.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process enhancement to stay ahead in the competitive FMCG market.
Implement S&OP Meetings:
- Lead Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align supply chain activities with business objectives.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration between sales, operations, and other key stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Proven experience in demand forecasting, supply planning, and inventory management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities effectively.
