Practus - Finance Lead

- Driving the financial performance of the company by anchoring the monthly financial reporting process, budgeting, and forecasting activity, and 5-year financial plans. Partner with business, delivery, and functional teams to monitor actuals against budgets/forecasts and drive the financial KPIs of the company.

- Ensuring 100% compliance of statutory reporting requirements and filings for the group.

- Presenting financial results and analytical insights to non-finance stakeholders and enabling Practus leadership team to make critical business decisions.

- Presenting financial results of overall Practus group and key insights to the Board.

- Overseeing the taxation affairs of the organisation and liaising with the external tax firm for specialist advice. Engaging with the tax specialist firm to ensure that the effective tax rate of the company is optimised, and TDS/other tax recoveries are expedited.

- Overseeing the cash flow (AP/ AR) of the company and ensuring it has the appropriate treasury controls. Providing inputs to the leadership group for improving cash flow, working capital and other operational efficiency metrices.

- Taking ownership for overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements.

- Facilitating a smooth and effective audit process (external as well as internal) and ensuring compliance with rules laid down by the Companies' Act, Accounting Standards, or any other law in force within India or in subsidiary companies. Ensuring that audit observations are addressed, and improvement points are actioned.

- Mentoring, training, and developing technical and interpersonal skills of the team through nominated training programs, on-the job training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Ensuring adequate processes, controls, and frameworks are in place to manage risks (internal as well as external) effectively.

- Driving commercial decision making for the company by providing inputs to the leadership group on project wise/ segment wise/ category wise margin analysis, price volume analysis etc. to drive financial value for the company.

- Advising on market changes and providing strategic financial recommendations to the leadership team.
