Practice Head

Job Purpose:

- To ensure customer satisfaction through delivery excellence

- To ensure high quality, on-time and on-budget delivery of projects in the Practice.

- To contribute to growth of the CBU by ensuring optimal utilization of opportunities available in the practice & identifying new opportunities

Knowledge and skills

Functional skills:

- Knowledge in multiple technologies

- Domain knowledge

- Practice Knowledge

- Project management skills, like estimation, planning, monitoring and controlling, etc

- SDLC Process awareness

- ODC Engagement Model

- Pre-Sales: Proposals and solutioning

Roles & Responsibilities

- Ensure customer satisfaction targets are met

- Ensure deliverables are within schedule, cost and quality

- Identify engagement levels, risks & issues and mitigate/address them

- Proactive communication & timely response to customers

- Identify new opportunities and Services and provide value add to customers

- Periodic Engagement Level Review with Customer for the Practice

- Meet Revenue Goals

- Ensure profitability goals are met:

- Ensure projects are executed within budget

- Review and ensure accuracy & timeliness of invoices

- Ensure optimal billing & utilization of resources, such as manpower, software, hardware, infrastructure etc

- Ensure all projects are executed in compliance with process / quality standards of organization and according to contractual terms

- Identify areas and process improvements for the Practice and ensure adherence to the same

- Ensure the organization set process goals are met

- Strengthen organization practices against industry best practices

- Ensure the induction & assimilation of people to the practice

- Retention, Development & career progression of team members

- Resolve people issues and Employee satisfaction within Practice

- Build Practice Competency

Educational qualifications and Experience

- BE or MCA, with minimum total 12 years’ experience, of which 4 years of domain experience and 4 years of project management

- Minimum 2 years experience in managing large teams of 40-50 resources.

- Exposure to international clients and multiple technologies
