About our Client - Our client is an internationally significant FMCG business who take pride in driving a whole industry agenda, not least within the pan-India market. Due to aggressive growth, made very clear within their 3 to 10 Year plans, a newly created role has become available for a PPM Commercial Manager. In line with their ongoing Financial & Operational excellence drive, the organization demands the best Analytical & Commercial support - and so driving footprint.
Job Description - The PPM Commercial Manager will play a very significant part of all Business Planning within the organization. The position demands focus on forecasting of the revenue through, amongst other things, the strategic handling of pricing. As such, there is a huge amount of interaction & negotiation - to build consensus - with a multitude of stakeholders from different functions. Perhaps, the simplest way of summarizing is:
To understand the role pricing plays, along with an understanding of past trends, strategically allows the driving of revenues. In addition to revenue forecasts and driving corrective measures, this also a unique time for the organisation as it comes out its JV & so requires someone to set up these processes from scratch. Larger scale, you would also be involved in upskilling the function into one with the integrity, rigour & robustness of the Group globally.
The Successful Candidate - The successful individual will be a qualified CA - but with a business, not a CA, mindset. You will have 6 to 10 years of post-qualification experience - our extraordinarily progressive client will consider the highest potential people for developmental purposes - within the Business Finance and / or Commercial space. What can be considered having ""either the resolve or the experience"". You will already be within a - top-tier' FMCG brand organization & will have accumulated a track record of consistent value additions and achievements. As above, our client stresses that while a host of professional & technical competencies are important, its the flexibility that comes from a business mindset and results driven approach through supporting the business that is critical. Finally, similar to other roles within this specific function, this position requires a long term view, maturity and pragmatism. This is due to the critical nature of the work & the global, senior, stakeholders and brand-owners with which you will be dealing.
