Political Intelligence Analyst - Public Policy

About the Role:

- We are seeking a highly analytical and inquisitive Junior Political Intelligence Analyst to join our team.

- In this role, you will contribute to the monitoring and analysis of political developments, supporting senior analysts in identifying potential risks and opportunities, and contributing to the development of insightful reports.

Key Responsibilities:

Research & Data Collection:

- Conduct in-depth research on political issues, including legislation, regulations, and political campaigns at the local, state, and federal levels.

- Gather and analyze data from various sources, including news articles, government documents, social media, and public opinion polls.

- Assist in the development and maintenance of databases of political information.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

- Assist in the analysis of political data using data analysis tools and techniques.

- Contribute to the preparation of reports and briefings on political developments and their potential impact.

- Prepare presentations and visualizations to effectively communicate findings.

Project Support:

- Support senior analysts in the development and execution of political research projects.

- Assist with the preparation of presentations and materials for client meetings and internal briefings.

- Contribute to the development of innovative research methodologies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Assist in building and maintaining relationships with key political stakeholders, as directed by senior analysts.

- Participate in relevant political events and conferences, as needed.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, or a related field.

- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in political research, analysis, or government relations is preferred, but not required.

Required Skills:

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or basic statistical software.

- Strong understanding of political systems and processes at the local, state, and federal levels.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with media monitoring and analysis tools.

- Knowledge of relevant legislative databases and research resources.

- Basic understanding of social media analytics
