Pocket FM is a leading audio streaming platform where users can listen to audio content across formats like audio series, audiobooks and podcasts. We are pioneering audio entertainment globally with a vision to build the largest audio OTT platform. With over 100k+ hours of content and 200k+ creators, we have one of the largest repositories of audio content.
Our mission is to give voice to stories from all around the world. Pocket FM has grown to 15 million MAL (monthly active listeners), spending an average of over 100 minutes every day. We are a Series C funded start-up backed by some of the marquee investors like Naver, Goodwater Capital, Lightspeed, Tanglin Venture Partners and others.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will support the CFO in all strategic projects by helping in structuring & story lining the problem, driving deep analytics, collaborating with multiple stakeholders across the organization and enabling implementation.
- Support the fund-raising activities, investor meetings and board reviews.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Time and time again, you will be responsible for facilitating the execution of decisions that touch multiple functions of the organization. You will bring together stakeholders from around the organization, structure the problem, assist in assigning responsibilities and follow up to see through the execution.
- Presentations Ownership: Multiple key presentations, either for internal reporting purposes or external talks/ pitches will allow you to storyline, facilitate gathering of data and create decks.
- Conduct outside-in market and competitive analysis to develop key insights.
- Ownership on Side Projects: You will get exposure to multiple parts of the business where you can engage and assist on any project if it captures your attention!
- You will get to own multiple pieces assigned to you by the CFO ranging from seeing through the thinking and execution of key decisions touching various parts of the org to preparing decks for presentations to senior management on the strategy of Pocket FM.
- You will get to build on your analytical capabilities by designing the analysis, keeping in mind the largeness of the database, and working closely with the BI & Analytics team to gather the data.
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders of varying degree of experience and seniority, you will get a chance to test and hone your people skills.
- You will be at the center of multiple decisions taken in the firm, giving you complete insight into the strategic decision-making process of a large and growing tech/ digital media firm. Playing varying roles in these discussions from that of an owner, inputter to an enabler.
Qualifications:
- Preferably an MBA from a premier institute with 4-7 years of experience; with majority of experience across top tier strategy consulting and consumer tech businesses.
- Ability to influence and lead a cross-functional team from idea to launch.
- Superior analytical skills including strong ability to identify and solve highly ambiguous problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to connect with people across teams and levels.
- Comfort in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment.
- Bonus points: Experience in SQL.
