Context & Role:
- The Agency Branch Manager is a pivotal role within our organization, tasked with driving sales growth and enhancing distribution channels through effective management of the Agency team.
- This position is instrumental in executing strategic initiatives that contribute to achieving business targets and expanding market presence.
- The ideal candidate will possess a blend of leadership, strategic vision, and practical experience in agency sales.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:
- Plan Development: Conceptualize and design robust coverage plans tailored to the team's specific needs.
- This involves analyzing market trends, customer demographics, and sales data to formulate effective strategies that maximize reach and sales performance.
- Action Plans for Recruitment: Create actionable strategies to attract and recruit high-caliber advisors.
- Develop comprehensive recruitment plans that align with the company's growth objectives and address specific team requirements.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Business Opportunity Presentations: Take charge of running Business Opportunity Presentations (BOPs) to showcase the benefits and potential of joining the Agency.
- Effectively communicate the value proposition to potential advisors and drive engagement through compelling presentations.
- Training and Development: Oversee the training and development of Field Sales Officers (FOS) and advisors.
- Provide on-the-job training focusing on product knowledge, selling techniques, and other relevant skills to enhance their performance and professional growth.
Team Management:
- Team Oversight: Manage the performance and activities of a team of 6-8 FOS, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Responsibilities include recruiting new team members, motivating existing staff, and implementing retention strategies to maintain a high-performing team.
- Motivation and Retention: Develop and implement programs and initiatives to keep the team motivated and engaged.
- Address any issues promptly and effectively to retain top talent and ensure a positive work environment.
Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
- Sales Performance Review: Regularly review and analyze sales performance data to assess the effectiveness of strategies and identify areas for improvement.
- Use insights from performance data to make informed decisions and adjust tactics as necessary.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor and analyze competitor activities and market trends to stay ahead of industry changes.
- Utilize this information to refine strategies and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
Reporting and Accountability:
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to the Cluster Manager, Cluster Head, or Regional Manager on team performance, sales achievements, and any operational challenges.
- Ensure transparency and accountability in reporting metrics and outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the agency or insurance sector, with a demonstrated track record of achieving targets and managing teams.
- Skills: Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, coupled with proficiency in sales techniques and team development.
- Education: Relevant undergraduate degree; additional qualifications in sales or management are advantageous.
