Urgent opening for the role of PMO
Global Market Operations has identified five key Strategic Programme that have been set up to deliver the GMO 2020 Strategy: The five strategic programme are as follows:
1. Enhance the Client experience:
- Introduce a tiered client service model that allows configuration of service level in line with client revenue / profitability
- Enhance our ability to manage and respond to client queries
2 Industrialize production:
- Simplify and streamline how we operate to create a highly efficient production line with the optimal combination of people and technology. This means taking a front to back view to maximise capacity, using feedback loops to detect and prevent issues, and continually experimenting to build continuous improvements
3. Build Economies of Scale:
- Embed our Service Catalogue across Operations
- Functionalise across asset classes and more broadly across GBM / group wide where there are opportunities to deliver value by centralising and standardising our services
4. Make evidenced based decisions:
- Invest renewed focus to treat our data as an asset and make use of our business intelligence capabilities to better understand our performance and support informed decision making
5. Invest in our culture
- Be more client focused, innovative, empowered and collaborative across teams
The principal accountability of PMO jobs is to support the Programme Management Office in carrying out project monitoring, governance and reporting activities for the above strategic programs. PMO jobs would not have any direct reports and may report to Programme Managers, Project Managers or PMO Managers.
Principal Accountabilities: Key activities and decision making areas
Impact on the Business/Function
- Provide accurate, up to date status of every key milestone and its delivery context to the Programme Manager
Background in Investment Banking and Markets
- Previous PMO experience working as either a single PMO or group of PMOs.
- Experience of working within large change initiatives and communicating with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail - deliverables will need to be completed to the highest standard as they could be presented to external stakeholders
- Excellent writing skills - ability to write in simple, succinct, clear and concise manner; ability to transform corporate documents filled with jargon and complex financial terms into comprehensible, accessible documents.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to take disparate tasks and build a structured framework to manage against
- Impeccable editing skills - ability to spot and correct / remove inaccuracies, grammatical errors, awkward syntax, typos, inconsistencies, clich- s, jargon etc.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders at exco level.
- Strong knowledge of Global Businesses models and more broadly of banking, investments and financial services
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience of dealing with regulatory reporting requirements.
