A leading conglomerate is seeking the Head - PMO for one of its Centers of Excellence (security / risk / governance):
Job Description :
- Participates in strategy development.
- Partners with internal and external stakeholders in creating opportunities.
- Takes timely independent action in pursuit of priorities.
- Accurately assesses when and how to escalate issues.
- Direction setting within teams on learning and applying useful decision-making approaches
- Responsible for supervising the development, planning, implementation, tracking and closure of all projects undertaken by the Project Management Team.
- Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs.
- Provide supervision towards timely and efficient accomplishment of project tasks.
- To manage and develop the team of highly motivated B-school graduates.
- Resolve or assist in the resolution of conflicts within and between teams, projects or functional areas.
- Develop methods to monitor project or area progress.
- Continuously improve project management tool-kits and methodologies.
- Maintain sophisticated oral and written reports defining plans, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management.
- Establish connections with internal and external touch-points / tap knowledge sources to stay abreast of modern developments in relevant functional and strategic areas.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and direction setting to team members
Skills :
- Ability to build, lead and motivate teams to timely and efficient goal accomplishment
- Deep knowledge of principles, practices and theories in own professional discipline. May have knowledge of more than one professional discipline
- Thorough understanding of project management techniques and tools for various phases involving initiation, preparation, execution & control, and closure
- Strong and current awareness of external trends and best practices
- Demonstrates superior collaboration skills and techniques to resolve conflicts and create lasting, productive partnerships among cross-functional groups
- Analyzes risks and future impact of decisions
Desirable Profile :
- 15 years of Total Work Experience.
- 07 Years Project Management Experience.
- Demonstrated aptitude for strategic planning.
- Financial Analysis of Projects
- Knowledge Management
- Research and Analysis into emerging business trends, technologies.
- Value/Cost Engineering Projects
- Branding / Advertising / Marketing Analysis
- Demonstrated capability in working with cross-functional teams
- Minimum MBA from Tier I / II
- Project Management certification & Lean Six Sigma
