Position Title: Store Head (Designation Based on Interview)
Reports to Business Head
Location: Hyderabad
Job Overview:
The General Manager - Store Head will oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, marketing, inventory management, and merchandising. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the hospitality, luxury, or jewellery sectors and a proven track record in leading teams, driving sales, and enhancing the customer experience in a premium retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations:
- Manage day-to-day store operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize store performance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Oversee store maintenance, cleanliness, and overall presentation.
Sales Management:
- Drive sales targets and ensure the store meets or exceeds its revenue goals.
- Develop sales strategies and initiatives to attract and retain customers.
- Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and provide insights to improve sales outcomes.
- Train and mentor sales staff to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales objectives.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute store marketing campaigns and events.
- Leverage industry trends to enhance brand positioning and visibility in the market.
- Develop and implement local marketing strategies to attract target customers.
- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory audits.
- Ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to meet customer demand without overstocking.
- Monitor inventory turnover rates and implement strategies to minimize losses.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of merchandise.
Merchandising:
- Ensure the store's visual merchandising aligns with the brand's standards and enhances the customer experience.
- Collaborate with the merchandising team to plan and execute seasonal displays and product placements.
- Monitor the performance of merchandise and make recommendations for product assortments.
- Analyze customer preferences and market trends to inform merchandising decisions.
Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of professionals, including sales associates, inventory staff, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to staff to foster development.
- Ensure a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, high morale, and employee satisfaction.
- Implement training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and performance.
Customer Experience:
- Uphold the highest standards of customer service and ensure every customer has a premium shopping experience.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Develop and implement customer loyalty programs to enhance customer retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in store management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the hospitality, luxury, or jewellery sectors.
- Proven experience in managing store operations, sales, marketing, inventory, and merchandising.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on driving results.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in retail management software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
